Exploring Holistic Healing With Kate Mantello

Updated: Dec 1, 2022

Kate Mantello Quote

This week, we had an opportunity to speak with Kate Mantello, an expert Holistic Healing Practitioner. We discussed her beginnings, explored the benefits of Energy healing, and learned how Kate manages to maintain a good relationship with her customers.

When did you first know that being an Energy Healer was your calling and how did it come about?

I prefer not to call myself a ‘Healer’ because I feel as though this claims a significant level of responsibility and ownership for my client’s healing journey (which suggests that healing is a passive experience and therefore disempowers the client).

Rather, I consider my role to be more of a Healing ‘Practitioner’ or ‘Facilitator’, as I aim to empower my clients and get them proactively involved in their own healing experience as much as possible. I first became called to this work after a period in my life when I was unhappy and working at a desk sales job, which clashed with my spiritual and life values. I couldn’t muster the courage to leave and start something new because I was financially secure for the first time in my life.

So, the universe stepped in and forced my hand – I experienced a spine injury and surgery which meant that I could never work at a desk again. I used this wake-up call as an opportunity to learn more about the healing journey and create a new life that was 100% in alignment with my values and passion for natural healing, spiritual growth and positive global impact.

Could you provide some more insight into your sessions – for instance, how does a Healing session look like?

As a multi-modality practitioner trained in many techniques including Crystal Healing, Transpersonal Counselling, Reiki, Art Therapy and past life regression, I eventually developed my own unique healing style which combines elements from all of my main skill areas. In 2017 I registered this modality professionally and called it ‘Transpersonal Crystal Healing’, which I now teach worldwide.

As a client in one of my signature Transpersonal Crystal Healing Sessions, you will be guided on a deep healing journey into all levels of your being: physical, spiritual, energetic, psychological, and emotional. First, you will be taken on a personalised guided meditation while receiving a relaxing spinal alignment. Crystals will then be placed on your body and you will bliss out to the feeling of energetic balance and alignment, as blockages are released and new energy infuses your body.

You may be asked to visualize certain things, or explore your past life memories. Your aura will be cleansed and you will be grounded with crystals and Reiki, before arising. Afterwards, you will be given the opportunity to explore your experience through various creative-expressive therapies (such as art or ritual) and can debrief with a mindful conversation guided by Transpersonal Counselling principals. Finally, we will devise a positive ‘action plan’ together, which you can follow up with at home to further explore your inner world and maximize your healing outcomes.

What can a person expect from a session, and what are the main benefits of Energy Healing?

What I love most about energy healing is that it is subtle and addresses the core issue. In the same way the subconscious mind is subtle, yet has the power to shape our entire existence through our belief systems and subliminal programming, energy healing is gentle, yet has profound results on the person as a whole.

The focus is less on simply minimizing external symptoms and more on getting to the root of an issue and healing from within, outwards. After a session, you may feel a little light-headed or ‘floaty’, or you may even feel a little queasy or emotional. This is all normal and will pass quickly as the new energies begin to settle.

What is the most important detail in maintaining a relationship of mutual trust with customers?

I have built my career and company on the same 3 pillars that I live my life by; Authenticity, Integrity and Quality. I believe that in order to establish trust and a successful client-practitioner relationship, that these three values always need to be present and held in highest regard. Sometimes this may even mean being truthful and authentic about your own shortcomings as a practitioner!

What do you love most about your profession?

I am literally so head-over-heels in love with my work that I could gush about it for hours! Here is a list of my top 5:

  • Being true to my spiritual and authentic self through my work which means living in alignment with my highest purpose

  • Having a hugely positive impact on people’s lives and by extension, the planet

  • The soulful bonds that are created through this work and the healing, love and learning that is shared between my clients, my students and myself. We are all teachers and we are all students.

  • The huge scope for personal and professional growth: from hosting workshops, to writing books, to training practitioners online – the options for sharing this work are limitless!

  • I work 100% on my own terms – I am my own boss

Do you have a special message for our readers in these difficult times?

There is a wonderful book called ‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill (which is the best book on how to attract abundance to your life that I have ever read). Somewhere within the book, Hill talks about opportunity being equal in size to the challenge that precedes it. I love this idea, because I firmly believe that every single experience and challenge in life offers us a learning opportunity. The greater the challenge, the greater the opportunity.

2020 has possibly been the most challenging year of our lives, however it has also opened up the door to enormous opportunity. Those who can regard it that way have and will achieve amazing things. Success in any area of life is not a result of luck or an adversity-free existence. After all, some of the world’s most successful and influential people including Oprah, Tony Robbins, Michael Jordan and Mahatma Gandhi, came from extreme adversity. We all suffer and we all experience challenge and difficulty. True alchemy is learning how to take these metaphorical lumps of hardened rock and turn them into gold.
